Hypnotic-dependency Insomnia (Hypnotic-Dependent Sleep Disorder): characterized by insomnia or excessive sleepiness, which is associated with tolerance or withdrawal from hypnotic drugs.

Stimulant-Dependent Sleep Disorder: Charcterized reducingSleepiness or suppression of sleep by central stimulants, and the resulting changes in wakefulness following drug abstinence.

Alcohol-Dependent Insomnia (Alcohol-Dependent Sleep Disorder): characterized by the assisted initiation of sleep, suffered from the ingestion of alcohol, which is used for its hypnotic effect.

Toxin-Induced Sleep Disorder: Characterized by insomnia or excessive sleepiness from poisoning by heavy metals or organic toxins produced.

Each case of insomnia is tailored to the needs of a particular person. Methods used for the treatment of behavioral change that measures sleep hygiene, light therapy, and sometimes medication is prescribed for a short period.
